Celebrating 21
years! In 1986, Don Rosen, founder and former President of Pilgrim Drycleaners, Inc created the "Coats for Kids" program,
and since then we have collected and cleaned more than 334,000 coats
to help keep children warm. Each year, the number
of children seen through the Twin Cities local charities
without adequate winter protection increases. This program can be
addressed by supporting the "COATS FOR KIDS" program.
Pilgrim Dry Cleaners conducts its COATS FOR
KIDS campaign over a four-week period in the fall.
This years sponsors were
The Minnesota Sun Newspaper, Subway Restaurants, KFAN 1130 AM,
and KTLK 100.3 FM.

"COATS FOR KIDS" is a
community effort to collect new and slightly worn winter coats for the
needy children in our area. The goal for 2007 was 10,000 coats. To date we
have collected over 334,000 coats. The 2007 collection was from
September 17th, through October 21th.
The public donates new and gently used coats at any of the 24
Pilgrim Cleaners throughout the metro area during the collection
period. Coats were also accepted at all gates of the Metrodome
before the September 30 Vikings game against the Packers.
Anyone unable to donate a coat may participate by sending a cash
donation to:
