Store Manager Trainee

Pilgrim Cleaners is growing and we are looking to expand our management staff.​ We have an immediate opening for a Manager Trainee! We are looking for someone who EXCELS at customer service and loves to work with customers! You will be the reason our customers keep coming back to the store.​ So we need someone that has a positive attitude, is outgoing, and is friendly! 

As a Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of running the store.​ Including, but not limited to, hiring, firing, scheduling, store inventory, store supplies, customer complaints, labor control, etc.​

This is full time position, with primarily day shifts.​ (about 6:45am - 3:30pm ) You MUST be available Monday - Friday, and be available for a possible, although rare Saturday.​ (Most stores are closed Sundays)  You can expect to average about 45 hours per week.​

You MUST have at least 1 year of retail leadership experience.​ Experience in customer service is a plus, but not required.​  During training, you will be paid $15.​00 an hour.​  Once placed into your own store, you can expect to earn between  $35K to $42K per year.​

I am writing to express my appreciation for the Pilgrim staff in Apple Valley, MN. I had dropped off 2 navy sport coats for cleaning and to have buttons sewn on. The manager had called our home on June 1, 2016 to let us know they couldn’t find one of the buttons. But we hadn’t responded because my mom had pancreatic cancer and had come home to die. (My husband hadn’t passed on the message give the events of the week.) My mom died on June 2, 2016. On Saturday (6/4) I went in to pick up the sport coats because we would need them for the visitation on Monday. The young women who were working that day said they were still in Minnetonka where the tailoring was done because of the button situation. I said I needed them by Monday for my husband and son to wear to the visitation for my mom. They said they would let their manager know and he would help me on Monday. On Monday June 5, 2016 I called the store and talked to the manager, Jake Murphy. He said he had gotten the message about our need for the sport coats. He had talked to his manager and they were working to have a maintenance staff person drive the coats to Apple Valley for me. I was able to pick them up that morning and my husband and son were dressed appropriately for the visitation. I really was overwhelmed by the kindness of the staff. The young woman followed through and passed on my message, Jake made sure the coats got back to Apple Valley. It was a stressful time and your staff were wonderful. Thank you very much!!
