How Long Is the Turnaround at Pilgrim?

One of the first questions we hear from new customers is, "How long will it take to get my clothes back?" 

The answer depends on what you're bringing in, but many of our most popular services are completed faster than people expect. 

Same-Day Dry Cleaning Available 

Need your favorite outfit cleaned in a hurry? We offer same-day service for dry cleaning and laundered shirts at most Pilgrim locations. 

Simply drop off your order by 8:30 a.m. on weekdays, and your garments will typically be ready that evening. Orders received after the cutoff time are generally ready the following business day. Some locations have a later cutoff time, so it's always a good idea to check with your local store. Items with heavy staining or special cleaning needs may require additional time. 

Turnaround Times by Service 

While many garments can be cleaned quickly, specialty items require a little more time to ensure they receive the care they deserve. 

Typical turnaround times include: 

• Dry cleaning & laundered shirts: Same day at most locations when dropped off by the morning cutoff 
• Wash and fold laundry: 2 to 3 days 
• Household items: 3 to 4 days 
• Spot cleaning: About 3 days 
• Tailoring and alterations: About 1 week 
• Drapes: About 1 week 
• Area rugs: About 2 weeks 
• Leather garments: 2 weeks for cleaning, or 2 to 4 weeks if alterations are needed 
• Wedding gowns: 3 to 4 weeks for cleaning and preservation

Every garment is different. Some fabrics require specialized cleaning methods, while others need extra stain treatment, repairs, or careful finishing. 

Rather than rushing your items through the process, our team takes the time to clean and inspect each piece properly. That extra attention helps protect your clothing and ensures it's returned looking its best.
